White Estate 2020 News Letter | | | | November 30, 2020 Dear Friend, Right now, in the midst of this pandemic, the Holy Spirit is touching millions of hearts world-wide through online access to Ellen White's writings. In her last recorded vision of March 3, 1915, Ellen White called for the translation and distribution of her writings around the world and particularly to young people. Of course, she thought in terms of books printed on paper—and this remains a very important work of the Ellen G. White Estate—but today we have an almost unlimited potential through the Internet. | | | Just this past week alone we had 1.25 million visitors, who viewed 2.7 million pages and made 46 million search queries on EGW Writings websites and apps. In addition, last week users downloaded 650 Terabytes of data from 7.2 million Audiobook and book download requests. Our Servers delivered a staggering 2.5 Petabytes of data to 27 million global user requests this past month. Compare this to November 2016 when we averaged only 7,500 weekly visitors and served just 45GB of data. Yes, online access to Ellen White's writings has grown to an almost unbelievable level. These amazing numbers reveal an exponential growth in accessing the writings of Ellen G. White this past year. However, continuing to deliver and expand these resources has increased costs beyond what the General Conference has been able to provide from its budget. We are becoming more dependent upon the donations of friends like you to keep this ministry growing while still keeping access to our Sites free. During 2020, about 20% of our budget came from donors who believe that Ellen White was the Lord's messenger and that her writings need to be made available to everyone in every nation of the world. For 2021, we need to raise at least $350,000 to meet the ever-expanding cost of world-wide user access to Ellen White's writings. This money allows us to maintain our EGW Writings global cloud server network, and continue to update our EGW Writings website and mobile applications. We also are working to add new languages and better quality audio books. We expect to launch a new version of our egwwritings.org website in 2021 that will bring the various resources of the White Estate into one convenient site for desktop and mobile users. I invite you to invest in this exciting project to bring the Testimony of Jesus through the Spirit of Prophecy to the world! As the new director of the White Estate, I also invite you to pray for this ministry. We are living in the very last days. The great controversy between Christ and Satan is very evident. The large number of users accessing our resources has recently attracted the attention of large tech companies and certain governments. They have limited access to or actively censored the writings of Ellen White. We need the Holy Spirit to guide us on how to keep Ellen White's writings, her testimonies, and the Three Angels' Messages freely available to everyone on the Internet for as long as possible. With your investment, we plan to add Bible and Spirit of Prophecy lesson guides to our new website so that visitors can learn more about our beliefs as well as Ellen White's writings. This new evangelistic outreach of the White Estate has the potential to influence untold millions for Christ. Your donor investment can be made on the partner.egwwritings.org website, or by check mailed to: Sharing the Vision, Ellen G. White Estate, Inc., 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904-6600, USA. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. | From Ellen White's last prophetic vision: "I want that you should do all you can to have my writings placed in the hands of people in foreign lands." With an appeal for translation and for young people to read her writings, she concluded: "I am impressed that it is my special duty to say these things." (Review and Herald, April 15, 1915, p. 3). | | Download this email as PDF (525 kB) | | | | Manage subscriptions | Unsubscribe | ellenwhite.org | Copyright 2020 The Ellen G. Our High Calling — Day 196 of 275 An Index to Character, October 13 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. Ephesians 5:4 . A man's character may be quite accurately estimated by the nature of his conversation.... Those who jest and joke and indulge in cheap conversation place themselves upon a level where Satan can gain access to them.... When you associate together, you may be a help and a blessing one to another if you surround yourselves with an influence that is divine. But there are thos...
To Be Like Jesus — Day 67 of 365 Every Hour Is Valuable, March 8 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? Proverbs 6:9 , NKJV. Go to the ant.... Consider her ways and be wise. Verse 6 , NKJV. God has no use for lazy men or women in His cause; He wants thoughtful, kind, affectionate, earnest workers. Active exertion will do our preachers good. Indolence is proof of depravity. Every faculty of the mind, every bone in the body, every muscle of the limbs, shows that God designed our faculties to be used, not to remain inactive.... Those...
To Be Like Jesus — Day 108 of 350 A Day Pointing to God's Power and Love, May 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Genesis 2:3 , NKJV. God looked with satisfaction upon the work of His hands. All was perfect, worthy of its divine Author, and He rested, not as one weary, but as well pleased with the fruits of His wisdom and goodness and the manifestations of His glory. After resting upon the seventh day, God sanctified it, or set it apart, as a day of rest for humankind....
